Are you in the USA, UK, or France?

Don't see too many of those boats here in the USA...

Anyway... on to your question...

I build boats, and what you're asking is a pretty serious question. Unless you really know what

you're messing with - I would have a professional do it.

Here in the states, we just had some University Students and two Instructors take a vessel out into the Gulf of Mexico, and one of the Instructors drowned when the keel feel off the bottom of the boat. The vessel filled with water so fast, he couldn't get out of the cabin... Turns out, they had worked on the keel's repair just weeks earlier.

I can't even start to give you an acurate estimate of what it might cost to have it repaired, as too many factors are in play... (As with most things %26quot;boats and boating%26quot; - one thing always leads to another... )

One thing for sure however... you don't want it to cost someone's life. So... my suggestion is, that you play it well on the safe side.

Happy and Safe Boating!

I would have serious misgivings about the overall condition. When studs corrode the oxidation process has a tendency to migrate into surrounding strata. In a wooden boat it's called 'fastener rot'. If the Keel bolts have gone this far I would wonder what else is compromised. I would strongly suggest you engage a professional surveyor to evaluate the entire hull and all rigging integrity. The last thing you want is to but problems.

Good Luck!
