Research balloon, could not find any correct answer?

A research balloon of total mass 415 kg is descending vertically with a downward acceleration of 1.4 m/s2. How much ballast must be thrown from the car to give the balloon an upward acceleration equal to 4.1 m/s2, presuming that the upward lift of the balloon does not change

just answer it and ill give you my life :x

Research balloon, could not find any correct answer?
The buoyant force = m1(g-1.4) = 3486 N

We want m2(g+4.1) = 3486 N ==%26gt; m2 = 3486/(13.9) = 250.79 kg.

So drop 164.21 kg.

I'll settle for your first-born.Research balloon, could not find any correct answer?
Oh, the flattery! Thanks.
